Steve Kang was born on May 8, 1980 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He lived in Jeddah and Santa Rosa, California for his childhood. He attended CalPoly San Luis Obispo and University Of North Texas, Dallas and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Steve worked diligently in the field of Information Technology. This was a blessing since he held an avid interest in anything “techy” and modern from a very early age. Steve’s unique way of thinking was an asset in his field. Steve’s passion is sharing God through serving those around him and he has been an integral part of ministries in every church he attended. Most recently, he was an active and vital part of Global Harvest Church, Dallas. He worked enthusiastically; taking care of many components of the AV, served on prayer teams but was most devoted to the welcoming committee. He wanted each newcomer to find a place where he could feel accepted. Steve was also ardent about spreading the gospel and answered God’s call in local and overseas missions. Steve lived with a chronic condition most of his life and used this to witness God’s strength, mercy and grace with his positive attitude, quirky sense of humor and the ability to continue despite any physical pain. Steve enjoyed exploring and cooking fine food with family and friends. He appreciated travelling to many parts of the world throughout his life and relished great political debates. Steve was devoted to his beloved friends and family: mother, father, sister, brother-in-law and nephews. Steve went peacefully to be with our heavenly father on Nov. 2, 2015. Steve will be in our hearts always and we are blessed to know that he is in heaven smiling and cheering with love and tenderness.
