Joshua Andrew Faber, age 3, of The Colony, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2021, surrounded by so much love. Joshua was born on June 19, 2017 in Dallas, Texas, with the congenital heart defect (CHD), hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), which he bravely fought against every day of his life.
Joshua faced many complications associated with HLHS and related surgeries, including chronic lung disease which lead to a tracheostomy, kidney disease and stage 3 brain bleeds, amongst other challenges. Through it all, he truly lived every day to the fullest, ultimately being able to walk confidently with a walker, take small steps unassisted, breath without vent support, eat and drink by mouth and speak so many words.
Joshua loved his family, his home health nurses and therapists, to pray before meals, to sing songs (especially Wheels on the Bus), Mickey Mouse, Baby Einstein and Cocomelon. He was smart as he was cute and inspired so many with his story.
Joshua is survived by his mother and father, Jonathan and Valerie Faber; his sister, Sophia; his brothers, Jonah and Jacob; his Welita, Dalia Garcia Arellano; his Welito, Vicente Arellano; his Ampaw and Memaw, Steve and Cathy Faber; his tio, Jose Luis Arellano; his uncle, Cory Faber; his great grandparents, Elizabeth Garcia and Joseph Faber and many other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Mariano Garcia, Barbara Faber, Elmer and Betty Vanderpool.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10am at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28th from 6 to 8pm at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, Texas.
