Frederick Gregory Schneider, 85 of Flower Mound, Texas went to be with our Lord on Monday, October 28, 2024. Fred was born on September 4, 1939 in Fords, New Jersey to Kurt and Anne Schneider. He attended Woodbridge High School and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Ceramics from Rutgers University. Fred married Audrey L. Schneider on October 1, 1960 and they were happily married for 63 years before Audrey went to be with the lord in 2023. During college he went into the Air-force ROTC and went on to learn to fly jets. After serving he worked as a pilot for American Airlines for 30 years before retiring July 1, 1995.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center in Coppell Texas.
In addition to his parents and wife, Fred was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Stephen Chapman, his brothers John Schneider and Raymond Schneider. He is survived by his beloved son Tom Schneider and wife Ann, daughter Robyn Chapman, brother Kenneth Schneider and wife Renata, sister Pauline Hummel, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church in Grapevine, Texas.
Fred loved traveling, especially cruises where he and his beloved wife Audrey went on an around the world cruise, his favorite vacation. Fred was a collector of many things but he was especially known for his train, coin, beanie babies and stamp collections. He was a member of the Allied Pilots Association and the Train Collectors Association. After he and Audrey moved to Rosewood Assisted Living in Flower Mound, Fred loved playing bingo and spending time with family.
