DJ was born to David and Jane Stone on August 21,1992 in Tulare, California. DJ and his Family moved to Springville Ca. in 1996. He attended grammar school in Springville and graduated from Porterville High School in 2010. After highschool, DJ moved to Fresno and attended Fresno State University. In 2014 he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications and moved to San Jose, CA where he began working within the technology field in cybersecurity. DJ was looking forward to completing his MBA at Santa Clara University. On October 28, 2020 he married the Love of his life Veronica Maldonado and the couple moved from California to Texas to begin their life together.
DJ was full of life and had the biggest heart, always willing to go above and beyond to make someone else feel appreciated. He was independent, hard working, determined, and extremely generous. DJ had many passions and talents in life and always knew how to make those around him laugh. He loved animals, shooting, riding motorcycles, traveling and cooking as well as spending time and sharing experiences with his Family and Friends. DJ was an incredible golfer, earning a college scholarship and a spot on the Fresno State University golf team. He loved nothing more than being out on the course enjoying the greens with his Wife and friends. Flying was another hobby that was near and dear to his heart, DJ flew whenever he could. DJ was always searching for ways to give back, he spent time volunteering with children at Stanford Hospital and many other organizations working with disadvantaged youth. DJ met his wife on one of his many volunteering endeavors working to help children follow their passions and learn to read and write English. DJ was a dedicated supporter for the National Kidney Foundation. At the age of 23 he was an altruistic kidney donor and inspired a chain of transplant donations which resulted in several lives being saved. He continued to support through involvement in National Kidney Walk events, promoting donation and attendance.
DJ is survived by his wife, Veronica Stone, his parents David and Jane Stone of Springville, his sister Sammie Jo, his in-laws Ricardo and Elisa Maldonado of East Palo Alto, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his two beloved cats Habanero and Bell Pepper Stone. He was greeted in heaven by his grandparents Merle and Ima Stone, Anthony Landeros and two uncles Bernie and Len Landeros. A Celebration of Life will be held for him in his hometown of Springville at the Springville Ranch (white barn) 36400 HWY 190 Springville Ca. 93265 on September 23rd 2022 at 10:30am.
