Celestina V. Morales

Celestina "Momo" Vargas Morales, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25th 2017. Born on May 19, 1926 to Espiridion and Francisca Vargas in MacKay, Texas. Celestina was married to Dionicio Morales. Celestina is survived by 2 daughters, Sylvia (spouse Juan Mendoza), Naomi (spouse Shay McQuaid), and son Juan Morales (spouse Mary Jane), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Celestina is preceded in death by husband, Dionicio Morales. daughter Pura Soto, granddaughter Erica Soto, brother Romulo, sisters Maria and Porfiria. Everyone who knew "Momo" knew that her favorite color was green, she enjoyed going to Dollar Stores, loved her Texas Rangers, Ice Cream, surprising family members on their birthdays by playing the harmonica, and joking around. She had a strong religious faith that she instilled it in her family.

Anyone who met her fell in love with her, she had a tender touch that left a lasting impression.

PSALMS 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
