Carson James Dyke passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017, and will be missed by so many. Carson was born on July 22, 2005, in Lewisville, Texas, to April and Jason Dyke. He was a 6th grade student at Coppell Middle School West where he loved being a Westie! He loved school and all of his teachers, played the trombone and enjoyed reading. Carson had many friends in the neighborhood and could often be seen riding his bike over to a friend’s house to play Legos, video games or engage in a massive nerf gun battle. Carson’s family and friends are Texas Aggies and Carson became a very proud Aggie too, attending Texas A&M football games in College Station on the Aggie bus, a favorite activity. Carson and his family spent many vacations at the beach with their Aggie family, and there are many fond memories of Carson spending all afternoon burying himself in the sand. Recently, Carson and his dad had found a common love for skiing and spent all of Spring Break 2017 together on the slopes. When asked, his brothers shared they will remember Carson for his energy, the funny noises he constantly made, that he was an awesome Lego builder and that you could always find him at the kitchen table every morning with his green headphones on watching a video with a glass of chocolate milk in his hand. Carson loved to climb trees and was truly becoming an amazing cook. Carson will always be remembered for his sweet smile and as a loving, funny boy with bright blue eyes and crazy red hair who loved to help people. Even on his very first ski trip, Carson kept stopping on the mountain to help people who had lost their skis. At school, Carson epitomized the spirit of a Coppell Middle School Wrangler and never let anyone sit alone – he was truly the bridge between kids and his teachers loved him for that and so much more. Carson had such a good heart. Carson is survived by his parents, April and Jason Dyke, and his two older brothers, Alex and Ryan, of Coppell; grandparents Sharon and Garry Dyke of Frisco, Texas; Linda and Robert Higginbotham of Tomball, Texas; Aunts and Uncles Dustin and Ashley Lindig, Joshua Dyke, Robyn Schmotzer; and cousins August, Morgan, Evan and Erin. Carson leaves behind many, many family and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him so very much. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, Coppell, Texas. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 4 followed by a public reception at the Dyke’s residence at 303 Saddle Tree Trail in Coppell beginning at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to The Carson Dyke Memorial Fund at https://cmswpto.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/3685757 or to the Dyke boys’ education fund to gofundme.com/alex-ryan-education-fund.
