It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Loran Ashley, who left us peacefully on March 15, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on February 11, 1958, Rose brought warmth, kindness, and love into the lives of everyone she touched. She was the beloved wife of Louis Salguero, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, and a devoted mother to her daughters, Victoria Wiegand (Jordan) and Michelle Salguero.
Rose’s life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures, and she cherished every moment spent with family and friends. A woman of immense love and devotion, she was a proud grandmother to Madison Asher and Noah Asher, and she found great comfort in the presence of her grand dog Violet, who was a faithful companion.
Rose had a passion for knitting, and the sight of her creating beautiful pieces was a reflection of the care and attention she brought to everything she did. She treasured spending time with her daughter Michelle, and their mini getaways to Montauk were among her happiest moments. Rose was also known for her love of food, particularly her meticulously prepared pot roast, a dish that became a signature of her warm.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. Rose was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to inspire those who loved her most.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Rose’s life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home, Copiague, NY. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Rest in peace, Rose. You will forever be loved and missed.
