She was born on March 5, 1935, in Brooklyn NY to Angela and Anthony Guardino.
Pauline was a beloved and cherished wife (53 years married) of the late Gaetano (Tommy) Albarano. She is survived by daughter MaryEllen, son Paul and wife Judi, son Thomas and wife Nora, grandchildren Allison (Jarrod) Paul John (Amanda), Amy (Derrick), Justine (Nick) Nicole (Zach), Toni, JP and great grandchildren Jianna, Logan, Christian, Bodie and Milana. Pauline was the oldest of 5 children and her 4 siblings still alive are Louis, Claire, Leonard, and Anthony.
Pauline was an active member in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Eucharistic Minister, active member of the Rosarian Society and volunteered for years washing and ironing church linens. She delivered communion to the retired Sisters of St. Dominic in Amityville NY after morning mass for many years and volunteered in their development office. Pauline also loved making posters to promote the annual feast and was always working in the Italian booth. She always looked forward to her Tuesday night rosary group and talking to all her great friends on a regular basis. Pauline was secretary at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for 23 years.
Pauline loved and adored her family, her home, friends, Copiague and her church. Her faith and strong belief in helping, listening, and supporting everyone usually took precedent above worrying about herself. Pauline was a precious gift from God above and touched so many people in her lifetime. She will be remembered for her love, friendship, caring, and her quick ability to prepare a meal at a moment’s notice. Her crumb cake and meatballs were her specialties!
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday May 12th at D’Andrea Bros. Funeral Home in Copiague NY from 2- 9:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be offered on Monday May 13th at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Copiague at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pauline’s name to “Our Lady of the Assumption Auditorium Restoration”
