Michele Russo

While growing up and living in his native Calabria, Italy; Mr. Russo was a Police Officer. Upon coming to the United States, he and his sons owned and operated their family cabinet business, here in Copiague.

He leaves his beloved wife, Giuseppa (nee D'Alcantara); his sons - Franco, and Antonio, and his fiance, Hilary; his granchildren - Michele, Antonio, Giuseppe and Christian Tyler; and his great-grandson, Liam. Also surviving are his sister and brothers - Sara Paonessa, Guiseppe Russo and Gregorio (Teresa) Russo; and Rosa Russo (wife of his late brother, Antonio); and his nieces and nephews - Raffaele Paonessa, Teresa Palmieri, Giuseppe Russo, Francesco Russo, Mary Angela Russo, Florence Russo, Frances Russo and Antoinette Russo. In addition to his brother Antonio, he is predeceased by another brother, Marco.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at Our Lady of the Assumpttion Church in Copiague, at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
