James Ramos

Mr. James Ramos, of Copiauge, N.Y., died on Monday, July 26, 2010. Mr. Ramos was a retired Engineer for Entenmann's Bakers of Bay Shore. A military veteran, he served as an Airman during his years with the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Ramos was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Assumption Council, as a 3rd Degree Knight. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Jeannette (nee Scot); his daughter Donna Marie Altuz and her husband, Carlos, Jr.; his sons, James, Jr.; Sean Michael and Brian Thomas and his wife, Denise. He had seven cherished grandchildren - Nicholas, Danielle, Marc Anthony, James, III; Angelica Nichole, Cody and Ara Noel. Also surviving is his sister Maryann Lindgren; his brother Thomas Frank Ramos; and his father, Frank Thomas Ramos. His mother, Mary Francis Davis Ramos, predeceases him. Family and friends gathered at the D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home of Copiague, on Thursday, July 29. In the evening hours, Fr. Piotr Rozek offered the wake service; and was followed by the Knights of Columbus service. On Friday, July 30, a Funeral Mass was offered at Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow in Calverton National Cemetery.
