Giuseppa Buglino, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved aunt, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on April 25, 1938, in Casteldaccia, Sicily, Giuseppa was a long-time resident of Copiague, NY, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth, faith, and boundless love.
Giuseppa was predeceased by her devoted husband, Ignazio Buglino. She is survived by her beloved children: Peter (MariaRosa) Buglino, Nunzio Buglino, and Silvana (Matteo) Ferro. She was a loving Nonna to Tanina, Peter, Sara Loredana, Annalisa, Massimo, and Alessia, and a proud great-grandmother to Angelo, Mia, and Luca. Giuseppa was also a treasured Zia to numerous nieces and nephews, who will remember her with great affection.
As the youngest of ten siblings, all of whom have predeceased her, Giuseppa's resilience and dedication to family were apparent throughout her life. She took immense joy in cooking, cleaning her home, and tending to her beloved garden, where her eggplants, tomatoes, and string beans flourished under her attentive care.
A woman of deep faith, Giuseppa found solace in prayer and was known for her devout spirit. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the D'Andrea Bros. Funeral Home. A funeral mass in Giuseppa's honor will be celebrated on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 9:45 am at Our Lady of the Assumption RC Church in Copiague, NY, with entombment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY.
