Age 59 of Andover MN, passed away peacefully at her home on April 6th 2023, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, DeAnna. Vicki was a long time employee of the Minneapolis School District where she made many lifelong friends and advocated as a union steward.
Vicki was a loving mother to her four children, as well as a proud grandma to her only grandson who loved his “Gumba” more than anything.
She will be remembered as a caring friend who enjoyed weekends at the cabin, trips to the casino, bingo, and lunch/dinner dates with lots of laughter and good conversation.
All who love her will miss the strong, selfless, hardworking, beautiful, and dedicated mother and friend that she was.
Her faith was always very personal and present throughout her life. She showed her gratitude for everything God had blessed her with by being a faithful longtime supporter of her favorite Christian Radio Station and Ministry KTIS, among other things.
In her spare time, Vicki was most happy when spending time with her young grandson Ben. He was the light of her life and they spent every day together since the day he was born. They shared many sweet moments going to the park, reading, playing peek a boo, and singing songs like itsy bitsy spider. She was delighted to find that her “Punkin” loved trips to the casino as much as she did!
When not with Ben, Vicki enjoyed relaxing in a warm bath with a good Stephen King book and a Diet Dr. Pepper. Whether it was playing guitar hero, singing karaoke, or starting a good game of Farkle she was always up for a good time. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her daughters, Nicole Sundberg (Matt), Stephanie Johnson (Josh), Tiffany Sullivan; son, Michael Sundberg; grandson Ben; sister, Dawn Schot (Logan); brother, Dirk Schot (Roman); aunts, Pat and Julie; and many more family and friends.
Memorial Service will held at Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Ave NW Coon Rapids, MN 55448) on May 6th at 2pm, with Visitation starting at 1pm. The family will be hosting a potluck luncheon immediately following the service at Stephanie’s house, 13524 Orchid Ct NW Andover, MN 55304.
