Thomas Joseph Marx, age 96, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was just 3 days shy of his 97th birthday, which would be September 12th.

Thomas served in the Merchant Marines at age 17, and later joined the Army to proudly serve his country. He was honorably discharged in April of 1947. He met Agnes in 1954 and they were married June 11, 1955. Agnes passed after 62 years of marriage, in 2018.

He is preceded in passing by beloved wife, Agnes Marx; son, Christopher Marx; brother, Wayne; and sister, Sally.

Thomas is survived by his children, Maria (Ned) Druley, Margaret (Bob) DuPont, Greg (Jody) Marx, Anita (Mitch) Stute, Judy Snipes; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends.

Private services will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home with Interment at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, MN.
