Died December 15, 2021 from a stroke, at United Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anita and Clayton. father-in-law John Haikio; brother-in-law Verne Vietanen.
Survived by wife, Marlene of 59 years; sister, Jeannette (David) Wennen;
brother, Richard (Marlene); nieces, Dani (Derrick) Mugge, Cheri Melrulde, Wendy LeDoux; nephews, Gary, (Denise) LeDoux, Jeff, (Dawn) LeDoux; mother-in-law, Mildred Haikio; sister-in-law, Marge Vietanen; niece-in-law, Donna Arnold; nephew-in-laws Verne and Robert Vietanen.
Steve was a manager for Bridgeman Stores in Hibbing, Grand Rapids and Bemidji, before moving to the Twin Cities, where he worked as a Route Salesman for Twin Cities Bakery. Steve’s hobby was collecting miniature cars. He had many of them on display.
He will be missed by many and loved always.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday Dec. 22, 2021 at Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Blvd. NW., Coon Rapids) Visitation starting at 12noon until time of service.
Interment Service for Stephen will be held at 1:15 pm on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery (12057 Hwy. 169 W. Hibbing, MN)
