Rita Alma Albrecht

Daughter of Henry and Mary (Slinger) Schneider. Rita was born on April 3, 1926 in Two Rivers, MN. She was employed by Robitchek and Schneider until they closed. She retired after 42 years of working in the sewing industry. Rita passed away Wednesday January 1, 2014 at home in Coon Rapids, MN at the age of 87 years. Her favorite things to do included sewing, embroidering, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and making lap blankets for the VA, and baby bonnets for the hospitals - Douglas County, Mercy and Unity. She also did a lot of volunteer work for Epiphany Catholic Church. Preceded in death by husband, Donald; parents, Henry and Mary; siblings, Jerome, Donald, Arnold, Leo, Andrew, Irene. Survived by children, Mary (Denis) Thelen, Bob (Fe), Birdie (Tom) Rotramel, Jim (Judy), Dave (Micky), Gary (Marti); 32 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; siblings, Herb (Loretta), Carl, Jerry Schneider, Marie (Mark) Zehowski. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Saturday January 11, 2014 at Church of the Epiphany, 11001 Hanson Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. Visitation 4-8PM Friday at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Boulevard Northwest and 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment Epiphany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation or to the Allina Hospice Foundation.
