Marlene was born in Brantwood, Wisconsin, on January 14, 1936. At age 17 she graduated from nearby Hurley High School, where she excelled at singing and was especially proud of her membership in the award-winning Triple Trio.
After high school she moved to the metropolis of Duluth, where she met her husband, Pat, started a family and sang at dances, weddings and in the church choir.
In later years, she became a tremendous sports fan, particularly of her Twins and Timberwolves. She loved rehashing NASCAR races over the phone with her brother, Don.
A proud grandma and great-grandma, she treasured spending time with her family. Holding a baby on her lap was her greatest joy.
If you ever met her, she remembered your name and knew something personal about you within minutes. She never tired of meeting new people and making new friends. Her Christian faith and the Word of God were sources of comfort during difficult days.
Marlene is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Patrick Brady Sr.; brother, Donald Rosenlof and parents, Arthur and Mamie Rosenlof.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Brady Jr., Scott Brady, Lariann Flores, Jorjean (Ricky) Murphy, Cristin Brady and Michael (Amy) Brady; grandchildren Chelsea (Karl) Hengeveld, Isaac (Emily) Brady, Miranda (Sam) Mattson, Drew Moore, Lauryn Moore (Parker Hill), Summer Flores, Christian Flores, June Brady and Vera Brady; great-grandchildren, Titus, Quinnly, Marlowe, Evelyn and two on the way; and many special family members and friends.
The family extends special thanks to the caring and professional staffs at Mercy Hospital and Guardian Angels Care Center of Elk River.
