Marilyn A. Theis age 90, of Mounds View and formerly of Forest Lake and Blaine was called to God on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Benedictine Health Care Center. Marilyn is survived by her sister Jeanne (Ken) Malak, four children Michelle (Ron) Zeigler, Jeanne Theis Iverson (Doug) Iverson, Paul (significant other Lonna Doran) and Mary (Rich) Knickerbocker. Her grandchildren Melissa, Angela, Valerie, Nick, Nichole, Marie, many loving great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband Al (Alvin), parents William and Lucille, Sisters Ethel, Elaine and brothers Donald and John.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 21st at Church of St Timothy 707 89th Ave NE Blaine, MN with visitation 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10 AM, with luncheon following the service.
Marilyn graduated from Central high School in 1950 and worked many years for Columbia Park Medical group in the file room and as an OH Liaison. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota where she met the love of her life Al in 1951 from Lansford, North Dakota. Marilyn and Alvin got engaged in June of 1954 and married on May 21, 1955 in St. Paul. They raised their four children in St. Paul, Roseville, Columbia Heights and finally their forever home in Blaine. Marilyn and Al were married for 45 years before his passing on August 15, 2000. Marilyn loved watching the Minnesota Vikings play football, the Minnesota Twins, Hallmark channel, playing bingo, dinner out with dancing, reading Danielle Steele novels and the song Jealous Heart by Al Morgan.
