Irene E. (Johnson) West

Irene Evelyn West was born May 11, 1922 in North Branch, Minnesota to John and Ruth (Erickson) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Richard West on July 1, 1944 in Cambridge, Minnesota. The couple resided in Mounds View and Irene was employed by Scientific Computers as a data processor. She retired in 1984. She was a member of Sunrise Methodist Church in Mounds View, Minnesota.

Irene was a lifelong Minnesota Twins baseball fan and loved listening to them on Twins baseball radio WCCO. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles and enjoyed listening to country music. Her grandchildren will always remember her witty personality and her kitchen table that was always full of treats. She especially loved her pets and the company of her dogs.

Irene is survived by her Children, Steve (Cindy) West of Blaine, Minnesota, Richard (Lynn) West of Meire Grove, Minnesota; Six Grandchildren and Five Great grandchildren; Siblings, Bud Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Gladys Johnson and Jim (Frances) Johnson; Sister-in-law, Beatrice Johnson.

She was preceded in death by Parents, John and Ruth Johnson; Husband, Richard West, Brothers, Charlie, Sheldon, Delbert, Gary; Sisters-in-law, Alzina and Carol Johnson.
