Dear Dad,
Thank You for nurturing in me, a love of the land, and the creatures who call it home. We often talked about the critters who lived in your yard, and when I’d come and visit, we would spend time together outside…We would walk in fields of wildflowers, and watch  eagles soaring overhead. 
 You would point out the way the deer had given the bottom of the leaves of the trees an even line as they nibbled.
We took photos of the dew as it collected little sunshines in the purplish grass that dotted pockets of the field.  
When we were in the kitchen, we looked out the window at the family of sand hill cranes walking in the yard, you had been telling me about the cranes visiting in summer. 
You sent me a photo of a beautiful buck who had come to visit you.
Dad, I cherish the time we spent together looking at the abundance of life that surrounded you, it’s with a great sense of sadness and emptiness that I realize that We will not again walk together on the paths in your yard, listening to the wind dancing through the stand of pines, and willows, a sound You cherished because Mom loved that sound so… you would stand by the tree line, listening to the wind whispering in the trees, and I suspect Mom was with us at these times, and so many others.
Looking back over the last few weeks at the end of this part of our walk together, I realize you were bidding adieu to your beloved outdoor haven….and the creatures and land were sending you on your way….You have left, you are walking on a path now that we cannot share, I dearly wish we could walk together, but I feel it in my soul, that you are walking again with Mom, down a path that is filled with beautiful blessings, laughter, joy, love and peace. 
I am so blessed that we walked down this path together… I will continue to look at the lowers, watch for eagles, listen to the wind whispering in the trees, and notice the abundance of life that surrounds me, carrying you with me.

As Bonita shared earlier, Don and Carol were an integral part of our Unity North Spiritual Center since the beginning.  They shared their passion for exploring and deepening our spiritual lives, and also showed our community how two individuals can really commit to doing that  jointly, whereas many of us take that journey solo.  

Most of the Unity North folks don’t know or may not remember this little bit of info about Don, but our offering baskets had his handiwork all over them!  Don drew the pattern from a very crude description, made the template for the wood handles, sawed them out, painstakingly sanded all the curved edges, sealed, stained and polyurethanes those handles!  We used them for years and I hope we can eventually use them again!  

Another memory I have comes from folks who have shared with me.  Often the first person to great newcomers was Don or Carol or both Don and Carol together.  And somehow they knew when to be a team welcoming newcomers and when to greet them individually.  Their joy of this great adventure called Spiritual Growth was shared with newcomers right away.  And it imprinted on many folks as a loving and happy memory.  

As an individual and as part of our Spiritual community, I was very blessed to know Don and Carol.  And a particular blessing I received was getting a stone layout / and Reiki balancing session with Don at end of day on Good For You Day.  I lovingly called it “getting stoned with Don.”

I will miss you Don, thank you for all the blessings.  In gratitude, Wendy

So many memories.     Don and Carol were both significant spiritual explorers at our shared Spiritual Community at Unity North Spiritual Center.   The dynamic  leadership of the ‘‘Good For You Day’ of teachings  health   healing  and joy.   
Your  many meditations during Sunday Services.   Your channel of healing energy at our Sunday healing services.   
Your many contributions and services to our spiritual community together with the  shining partnership of Love and respect  you and  Carol shared.    You both are remembered  with love and gratitude.  
I Am Blessed   to have known you on this journey we call life.
