Thinking of the entire Holst Family at this very hard time. Dave was a great guy with the best sense of humor and was a ball of fun. He will be missed greatly by many. Love and Prayers to you all.

Dave was a very good friend of mine back in the day until I moved away. I still remember him singing "swingin" at Mr Days. . He was a great singer and friend. I would love to meet your daughters, Dave, and to see Jackie again. RIP brother.

We have fond memories of you bringing halloween candy for our kids because you were closing your door for all other kids and memories of you bringing over packages which the mailman just placed on top of our mailbox. My heart is filled with sorrow.  But one thing is that GOD has another great Angel. My prayers are with all his children. I and the girls will miss him dearly.

I can see him at 3rd base whipping his arm around and yelling "wheels, wheels", I can see him vamping to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and I can hear his laugh..a dear friend. love to you all. RIP Hossmeyer

Dave you will be greatly missed. We been through so much, happiness, togetherness, tears, joy, families, I can go on. I know how much your girls will miss you, because this is a void on all our life's. From this day on we will celebrate your life and try and make that void in your children's lives some what easier. Dear Sister Jackie and nieces,   I am SO very sorry that my VERY cool brother in law is gone.  We had this thing where David used to tell my how nice my hair looked, (when it looked really, really bad) and since he always wanted to loose weight, it seems, I would always tell him that it looked like he had lost a ton of weight, and then we would both laugh.  I'm sure it doesn't sound very funny to you, but David and I thought it was.  I remember going with David to sing karaoke, along with my husband and Jackie.  The first time I ever sang was with David, and boy did I stink!!  He had a great voice and was such an over all great guy!  Loved ALL kids so much and could get babies to stop crying when even their Moms' couldn't!  I really loved David and will really miss him!  God has a new Angel and he will bless and keep his family safe.   I AM SO SORRY AND SAD!!!

I can still see his smirking smile as he looks at me out of the corner of his eyes. Then he chuckles and says he likes my car.

So sorry girls to hear of your dad's passing. Please know that you are in my prayers.
