Dale is preceded in passing by his parents, Albert and Anna; brother, Harold, and twin brother, Dean; daughter, Jan Evans; grandsons, Mark Evans and Jordan Halberg; and granddaughter, Laura Evans.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Shirley; son, Sheldon (Kim) Halberg; son-in-law, Douglas Evans; grandchildren, Carl (Janna) and Peter (Sarah) Halberg, and Mike (Terese) and Matt (fiancée, Kelly) Evans; great-grandsons, Peyton and Emmett Halberg, Kaleb Evans; and 1 great-granddaughter, Oliviana Halberg.
Dale graduated from Braham High School in 1949. He joined the Army in 1950 and he fought in the Korean War, where he was wounded in January of 1951. He was discharged May 7, 1953 and married May 15, 1953.
Dale was a long time employee of Minnegasco. He retired in 1987 at age 55, and moved to Grand Rapids, MN where he built the house of his dreams on Pug Hole Lake. They lived there for 12 years before moving to Elk River, MN. Dale and Shirley spent 19 winters in Arizona.
