Anita was born at home on an 80 acre farm in Owens County, Indiana on September 25, 1932 to Benjamin Franklin Dyer & Mary Catherine Dyer (Williams).
Anita was raised in the loving embrace of two devout Christian parents. She regularly (every morning) affirmed her faith in the most powerful medium she knew - music. Anita married Richard Callander and together they raised three sons in the same strong faith.
Her first love was music. In her late 40's she attended Anoka Ramsey and River Falls Community College receiving her Bachelors Degree in Teaching and Vocal Performance.
She taught countless students piano throughout the years. She loved her church community and was very active in the church choir, bible study, knitting groups, vacation bible school, bell choir and I'm sure countless others. She has left a legacy with the cabin property, she and Dick purchased in the 70s, a place were so many family memories have been made.
Blessed be the memory of Anita Sue Callander; Daughter, wife, mother, friend, child of God.
She is preceded in passing by her husband, Richard; sons, James and Stirling; grandson, Joel; and parents, B. Frank and Catherine Dyer.
Anita is survived by her son, Jeffrey Callander; daughter-in-law, Jill Callander; grandchildren, Lyn, Jessica, Jacob, Stirling, Ian, Sean, Matt; 11 great-grandchildren; and many good friends.
