Louis McDonald Layne Jr

Louis Layne, age 66, of Conyers, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Piedmont Hospital, in Atlanta. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Michael Sorrell officiating.

A native of Georgetown Guyana, Mr. Layne retired from City of Ontario California airport. He is survived by: his wife, Urmia Layne (Salem High School – Davis Middle School teacher); children, Dion Layne, Tricia Layne, Allister Layne; grandchildren, Shadel Layne, Peyton Layne; brothers, Hilbert Layne and Rickford Layne; sister, Patricia Layne; several nieces & nephews; friend, Deryck williams, Ivan Niles, Henry Gathers and many, many more.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 5 to 8 pm, at the funeral home.
