Wilma Parks, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away March 10, 2021, at the age of 95. She was born on November 21, 1925, in Florence, Italy and married her husband, Frank, in 1946. He was stationed there in WWII, then he worked as a government employee in Florence. They moved to West Blocton, Alabama and then to Conroe, Texas in 1954. They had two sons, John and Leslie.
Wilma built a career as a seamstress and was passionate about cooking, gardening, traveling and her family. Wilma was preceded in death by husband, Frank and her second son, Leslie. She is survived by her son John Parks and his wife, Kathy, of Spring Texas; her daughter in law Pat Parks of Willis, Texas; and her grandchildren: Madison Parks of Spring Texas; Zachary Parks and his wife Stephanie of Conroe, Texas and Bridget and Matt McGahen of Spokane, Washington. She has three great-grand children, Shepherd and Naomi McGahen and Gavin Parks. She will be missed by her circle of family and friends in Italy and Conroe!
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 10:00am in Garden Park Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Eddy Valbuena Pena officiating.
