William Erwin Wheeler

William E. Wheeler went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021. He was born in Denver, CO on March 19, 1929, to parents Russell C and Kathryn Whitenack Wheeler, both deceased. William is predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Marilyn Kirkman Wheeler.

He is survived by son, William R. Wheeler, wife Sharon; Grandson Gregory, granddaughter Laura; Reverend Thomas Wheeler; Daughter Catherine Thiberville, husband Andy Thiberville; Granddaughters Kristi Belluomini and Stephanie Irish; son Steven K. Wheeler and wife Stacie Wheeler, numerous nieces and nephews.

He attended the University of Illinois and American Institute of Banking. William served four years in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War, received Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a retired Vice President from Texas Commerce Bank, now Chase Bank. After retirement he lived six years in New England but he and Marilyn moved back to Texas in 1997 to be near their children and grandchildren.

A burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River, MA, following a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe Texas on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Union Sisters, 570 Rock Street, Fall River, MA 02720.
