William was a Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate. He enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, baseball, and hanging out with his sons and grandchildren. William was a Boston Red Sox fan, and he would go to their games whenever they were in the area. He also liked the Houston Astros and he would attend their Fathers’ Day games every year. He was an avid collector of superhero comic books, Thor being his favorite. William enjoyed reading, mostly about Civil War and WWII history. He also read a great deal about nuclear and mechanical engineering to further his post-military career as an inspector and educator.
He is survived by his sons Dan Tillman, and his wife Bethany, and Jason Tillman, grandchildren Kalli Brynn Tillman, William Daley Tillman, John Daniel Tillman, Adrian Dale Tillman, Jacob Emery Tillman, and Alexander Hensen Tillman, the mother of his children Sandra Blair, sister Beverly Meehan, and brother Gary Blaney and his wife Sheri. William was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Clifford Eugene Blaney.
William will be laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
