William Lee McCown

William Lee “Pete” McCown was born May 23, 1940 in Dallas, Texas and passed away peacefully September 4, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Grace McCown, brothers, Joe and Chink McCown and his beloved baby girl, Cara Lee McCown. Pete was a professional land surveyor his whole career and was very proud of his work. He loved his family and friends deeply. He was a loving husband, father, poppy, brother and uncle. He will be forever missed. . He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, 7 months and 9 days, Linda June, his sister Kathy Lester, two sons, James Wade McCown, John William McCown and wife Michaela; three stepchildren, Jeff McNemar and wife Kelly, Allison Babin and husband Brett, Steven Hill and wife Jamee; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Jace, Josh, Heather, Lindsay, Savanna, Tanner, Maggie and Adley June; four great grandchildren, Jarvis, Jonah, Joelle and Jean and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel (801 Teas Rd Conroe, TX 77303). Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James McCown, John McCown, Jeff McNemar, Steven Hill, Brett Babin, Jacob McCown, Jace McCown, Josh McCown and Tanner Babin.
