Susan Hicks

Susan enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping, and traveling to look at the bluebonnets. Her favorite things were family get togethers and spending time with the love of her life, James. She was so proud of the life they built together, from the birth of their sons to the business they owned together, J.M.S. Inc., to her becoming a wonderful Maw-Maw to her grandchildren.

Susan leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, James, her son Chad Hicks and his wife Crystal, stepson, Tadd Beach, daughter-in-law, Robin Hicks, grandchildren, Matthew “Matt” James Hicks, Susan Reane Hicks Wilkerson, Colton Allen Hicks, Morgan Sue Ann Hicks, Joseph “Joe” Daniel Hicks, and Carson “Red” Lakoda Hicks, sister Anne Marie Macri and her loyal canine companions, Angel, Gigi, Tiger, and Babygirl. Susan was preceded in death by her son James Randolph “Randy” Hicks, sister Betty Lou Walker and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 14th at 9:30 a.m.
