There are no words that one could write to fully describe this amazing young man. As a kid, Stephen loved the great outdoors, riding his bike, and hanging out (or getting into trouble) with his brothers and friends. At age 16, Stephen was paralyzed from the chest down, as a result of an accident. He never let it define who he was or wanted to be in life. Stephen continued his love of fishing and hunting at the family farm. Even with his challenges, he was still able to shoot the largest deer in the field.
Stephen always found a way to make people laugh with his quick jokes and his infectious smile which would always brighten the room. Family was very important to him, as he enjoyed the many family gatherings and quality time with everyone, accompanied by his English bulldog and faithful companion, Gus. He also really enjoyed spoiling his niece and nephew. Stephen just had a way about him that will leave an enduring legacy of courage, strength, and fortitude in the face of such unimaginable adversity.
