I met Steve in July, 1969, when he and his friend were working at the local amusement park, Funland, in Wichita Falls, TX. The friend became my steady, and the three of us palled around that year I lived there. In June, 1970, my family relocated to California and I ended the relationship with the boyfriend, but Steve and I kept in touch over the years. The last time we actually SAW each other was probably close to twenty years ago.

I called him on his birthday last year, and knew he was trying to get healthy, but it saddens me today to Google him and find his obituary. There is one less good guy in the world with his passing. I will always love him for the steadfast friend he always was to me. He is missed.

We were fortunate enough to call Stephen Dad #2 and Papa. Even though he will be greatly missed, he will never be forgotten. He is a truly amazing person who loved all of us unconditionally!  Sending hugs and kisses to his beautiful wife, handsome sons, and to his mother!

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Mr. Riley's family and friends.  I worked with him many many years ago at the Conroe district office through the athletic directors office during the time of tremendous new growth for CISD schools and athletics.  He was always professional, patient and kind and was a great help to our department. I  am so sorry we did not know in time to attend.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  I remember Steve loved to sail (we owned a sailboat too-but at Kemah, not Lake Conroe).  Many years ago my husband and Steve enjoying talking boats.Your comfort will come in your precious memories. I never met Stephen, but got to know him through the wonders of Facebook.  He was a kind and caring man who loved his wife and family very much.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.  While the world is missing a great man, those of us who were lucky enough to know him know that were were greatly blessed by his presence.  We miss you, Stephen!

I had the privilege of working for Steve at Spring ISD.  My thoughts are prayers are with each of you during this time.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve the whole time he was with Spring ISD.  He was a good friend and always willing to listen and help.    I really admired him for his dedication to his family.  He was so proud of "his boys."  

May your memories comfort you in the days ahead.  My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My condolences to the Riley family.  I met Steve back in 2001 working at Spring ISD administration bldg. He was very kind and had a willing spirit to help whenever asked.  He will be miss and I pray that God will give your family the comfort, strength and peace you need in your time of sorrow. Reflect on all the wonderful memories you have of your loved one.
