Shirley William Scurlock Jr.

Bill proudly served in the United States Navy, and after his service was complete, went on to graduate from the University of Texas in 1948. He passed the State Board of Public Accountancy in 1949, and was a practicing Certified Public Accountant at the time of his death.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve, his parents, Margaret Josephine and Shirley W. Scurlock, Sr., and his brother, James Edward Scurlock. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Scurlock, his nieces and their spouses, Rhonda Freeman and husband, Jeff Anderson, and Shelley Gates and husband, Terry Burleson, his grand-niece, Morgan Daugherty and her husband, Jake, and by his grand-nephews, James Freeman, Travis Freeman, and Dane Gates.

Visitation will be held at the Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, TX from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Graveside services will be held at the Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, TX at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
