Sandra Kay Mitchell, 56, was born on March 5, 1962 in East Lansing, Michigan, to the parents of Robert and Mary Meyers of East Lansing Michigan. She passed away on December 28, 2018 in Conroe, Texas. Sandra loved God most of all and taught her children the love of Christ. Sandra lost her battle to polycystic kidney disease and went home to be with our heavenly Father. Though she is no longer with us her absence will forever be felt. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, her eldest brother Robert Meyers, and her brother James Meyers.
She is survived by her children, Amanda & Casey of Springfield Virginia, Christin & Joshua Barck of Huntingtown Maryland, Rex & Felicia Barker of Waco Texas; Along with her grandchildren Christian Stephenson, Wyatt Barker, and McKenna & Riker Barck; Michael Barrington her boyfriend of 15 years of Willis Texas Her sister Barbara Johnson of Columbus, Georgia; Many nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
Sandra was a woman of God who loved those in her life dearly. Sandra was a woman who was larger than life and would help anyone she loved. She never met a stranger, and those who were blessed to know her will always have a void in their hearts’ now that she is gone. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her happiest moments were spent when she was with her grandbabies. Her children were her pride and joy and she loved them dearly. Sandra was an adamant fisher, camper, and outdoor cook off competitor. Sandra loved to celebrate any accomplishment her grandkids had and lived her life for them. Her presence will be missed tremendously.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be on Thursday, January 3, 2018 beginning at 2:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
