Roy Albert Skeen, born on May 20,1929, passed away on September 29, 2018, at the age of 89. Roy served as a naval nurse aboard the USS Constellation during the Korean war and was a supervisor at the Ethyl Corporation for more than 30 years. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband who illuminated the lives of those around him with his stoic kindness and generous spirit. He returns now to the Lord, and to be with Alvena Skeen, his wife of 42 years. Preceded in death by his parents, John Edgar Skeen Sr and Lela Mitty Cline, his sisters, Dorothy Butler and Marjorie Le Skidmore, his brother, John Edgar Skeen Jr, his daughter, Deborah Skeen, and his wife Alvena Skeen. Roy Is survived by his sister Helen Skeen-Harding, his brother Floyd Skeen, his son Ron Skeen, his daughters Brenda Ferguson and Tonya Cooper, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Roy Albert Skeen will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, in Conroe, Texas, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:30pm, with a visitation prior to service starting at 1:30pm.
