Ronnie Dee Yancy

Funeral services for Ronnie Dee Yancy, age 53, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Alan Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday evening, March 26, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

Ron was born September 15, 1956 in Santa Anna, Texas and passed away on March 23, 2010 in Conroe, Texas. He attended the Ark Family Church of Conroe and was a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association. Ron was a coach at many different schools in the Houston area, including Buffalo ISD, Cleveland ISD, Coldspring-Oakhurst C ISD and Livingston ISD. He taught young men and young women for over 26 years. His life revolved around kids. He believed in his students and was loved and respected by his peers and his family.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Dana Griffin Yancy of Conroe; sons, Richard Dee Yancy of Conroe and Andrew Michael Yancy and wife Sylvia L. Yancy of Spring; and grandchildren, Daniel M. and Madeleine L. Yancy, both of Spring; brothers, Jody Yancy and wife Lynn of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Carl Cowan and wife Perry of Brownwood. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Our lives were blessed by his presence and he will be greatly missed.
