Richard Wayne McGahey

Memorial services for Richard Wayne McGahey will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 12:30pm at Cashner Colonial Chapel. Richard was born March 13, 1942 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to Joel and Edna Hale McGahey and passed away on February 23, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Lavoun; children include Renee York and husband Brian Shelly, Joel McGahey and fiance Nancy Varga, Beth Arthur, Shelby McGahey and Beverly Flores and her husband Adam Flores. His beloved grandchildren include, Cassie York, Jessica York, Amber McGahey, Ariel McGahey, Matthew Arthur, Jay Arthur Jr., Keith Martin and Matthew Chavez. He was also a proud great grandfather to Hunter Young, David Martin, Ryley Chavez and Cerene Chavez. Numerous other family and friends also survive.

Richard was preceeded in death by his parents, his loving sisters, Joann Skirlock, Elizabeth McGahey, Lillian Hawkins, his brothers Jim Welch, George McGahey and Bruce McGahey.

He was in the floor business for over 40 years and led a full, colorful, happy life.
