Jeanie loved West Conroe Baptist Church, the staff and her Life Group class, the Encouragers. She loved greeting church goers at the front door and it was a terrific blow to her when she was unable to continue. And, she was so disappointed when she became unable to attend. Although, she did watch the services online, when she felt well enough.
Jeanie loved to cook. She had several cook books and thousands of recipes that she downloaded from the internet. She, being a full blood Cajun, specialized in the Cajun cuisine.
She and her husband, Richard, met on a traffic stop. He was with DPS and his partner knew her and introduced them. 45 days later he proposed and 84 days later they married at the 1st Baptist Church in Colmesneil, Texas. The marriage lasted until her death, just short of 55 years. By the way, she did not get a ticket that night when she was stopped for speeding but she did get a life sentence.
In lieu of flowers she requested that donations be made to West Conroe Baptist church or Basset Buddies of Houston.
