After a ten year battle with various illnesses Paul “Allen” Bradshaw, age 63 passed away July 26th, 2019 at 11:25 pm in The Woodlands, Texas. He was the second born child of the late Bob Bradshaw and Jerrie R. Bradshaw. Although he spent most of his life in north Houston, Allen was born in Pasadena, Texas. He briefly spent time in South Carolina, Dallas, and College Station.
He is preceded in death by his father Bobby Joe Bradshaw older brother Bobby Joe Bradshaw Jr. and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Janie of 32 years, daughters Emily and her fiancé Allison Opuiyo III, Katie and her husband Patrick Bliss, stepdaughter Stephanie and her husband Garth Faigley, Mother Jerry R. Bradshaw, Brother William “Bill” Bradshaw, and sister Audrey and husband Dr. Geoff Curtin. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Allen was a 1973 honor graduate of Conroe high school where he was awarded the prestigious title of All-District football player representing the Conroe tigers in the 1972-1973 4-A division spanning the Houston area. He achieved the privilege of being a walk- on football player for Emory Bellard at Kyle Field on the Texas A&M football team in 1973-1974 as a barely seventeen year old freshman. Allen loved studying math and got his degree in Industrial Distribution in 1977 and later returned to A&M in 1982 to study Petroleum Engineering. He had successful career domestically and internationally in the oil and gas industry.
Allen had a passion for cooking. He worked for a fine dining, “Texas monthly top ten”, restaurant in Bryan, Texas called The Texan and eventually opened his own restaurant called The Sunset Grill at the infamous North Gate District near the TAMU campus. His fine meals and desserts will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Allen had a passion for cars, motorcycles, music, and art work. He was quite talented and multifaceted.
Although we grieve the loss of Allen he is no longer suffering or in pain. We await the time when we will all be together again.
