Patricia Ann Vogel was born July 25, 1952, to Charles J. and Ona May Gallagher in Shreveport, LA. Her childhood as an Air Force brat was spent moving from base to base (LA, TX, CA, and the Philippines) and ultimately to Nellis AFB Las Vegas, NV., where she graduated and started her life as an adult. She fulfilled her dream of motherhood with the birth of her first son before following her parents to Syracuse, NY., where her second son was born. Her boys were her proudest accomplishment, next to her love from Len. Her career in New York was administrative, first with a construction company followed by 11 years at the Syracuse University library. In 1985, as a single mother, she moved her boys to Houston and in 1986 married Len, the true love of her life. She was also proud of her 15-year career with Cameron from which she retired in 2004. She had a true servant’s heart having served as a CASA advocate, member of the Bridgepoint ACC Committee, member of the Bridgepoint Ladies Group, among many other affiliations. She is a past Honored Queen of Jobs Daughter and a member of Eastern Star. Her home in Willis was her ultimate happy place where she enjoyed yard work, crafts, and taking care of her home and Len. Len bought her an RV and off they went on over 10,000 miles of memorable travel adventures. She was blessed to have traveled to multiple European destinations with friends and had her dream sailboat trip through the Virgin Islands. Patti was the proud matriarch of her birth family and beloved of all the Gallagher brood. She was a fierce animal lover (Millie), an obsessive elephant collector, and cherished her friends, co-workers, and neighbors. She gained her angel wings on February 19th, 2022, and she will forever be loved and missed by those that knew and love her.
Patti is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, her son Brodie C. Allen, her son Kevin C. (Mesha) Allen, her sister Jo (Clay) Tyer, brother Michael J. (Debbie) Gallagher, grandchildren Riley, Chance, Connor, Hannah, Keyan and Kaidance plus one great grandson Myles. Also is the daughter of her heart Michelle (Walt) Plaskett.
A celebration of life will be held at her home with family hosting, friends and neighbors are invited. Details will be posted as soon as plans are complete.
