Patricia Ann Foley passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 after a long illness. She was born April 16, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Johnnie B and Audie Mae (Endres) Taylor. At one year of age her family moved to California. She graduated from Downey High School in 1956. After attending business school she went to work as an executive secretary.
In 1963 she married Ronald Foley and from this union four children were born. Her husband was relocated in 1972 and she moved with him and their children to “the city of Oak Ridge North”. Pat worked for many years at the Post Office in Hall & Hall Pharmacy and then went to work for CISD for many years working at Wilkerson and as the Athletic Secretary for Oak Ridge High School.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved people; affectionately known as “Mom Foley” to so many as a teacher, coach, umpire, friend. She put her love of people to use not only at home but at church, school and community unselfishly helping anyone in need – most of all her students. She loved volunteering and was a founding and active member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Parish where she spent many years teaching and working in various ministries. She especially enjoyed being a part of the RCIA program.
Pat loved sports and was always involved in her children’s activities; keeping score, coaching, working the concession stand, umpiring and more! For many years she worked so many of the ORHS volleyball, basketball and soccer games.
After retirement, she adored becoming a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. In 2005 they joined the “Polka Lover’s Club of Texas” where they were active members, enjoyed dancing and making new friends at dances and festivals across the country.
Pat is survived by Ron Foley, her husband of 57 years; her children Timothy Foley and wife Michele, Elizabeth Foley, Thomas Foley and Lisa Foley Diehl and grandchildren Mason Diehl, Victoria Diehl, Hannah Diehl, Bryce Foley, Brittany Foley, Madison Foley and Megan Foley; Sister-in-law’s Linda Taylor and Donna Taylor; Brother-in-laws Ken Foley and Don Foley and their spouses Audrey and Joann; dozens of nieces and nephews and many dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother’s John Taylor and Edwin Taylor.
The Celebration of Life will begin Monday, June 8, 2020 with visitation from 6 PM-7:30 PM followed by a vigil service and rosary at Sts Simon & Jude Catholic Parish; 26777 Glen Lock, The Woodlands, TX 77381

The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10 AM at Sts Simon & Jude Catholic Parish; 26777 Glen Lock, The Woodlands, TX 77381. Internment at Garden Park Cemetery – Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd., Conroe, TX 77303.
Funeral arrangement are being handled by Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd., Conroe, TX 77303. While flowers are welcome, memorials gifts can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Chang, Omega Hospice and all the loving staff at Grace Residential for the care Pat received during her illness.
