Neena Michele (Jenkins) Thorn Mueller age 72 of Conroe, Texas was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 25th, 2022. Neena was born on June 12, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Cleveland, Texas in 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Jenkins, her brothers, David and Ronny Jenkins, her son, Darrel Thorn and her first husband, David Levi Thorn. She is survived by her husband, Mark Mueller, sons, Jerry and David Thorn, son, Anthony Mueller, stepdaughters, Kimberley Clipper and Adrianne Mueller, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and siblings, Gini Hargis and husband, Harold, LaJuana Smith, Jimmie Jenkins, Ruth Gray and husband, Dan, Richard Jenkins and wife, Betty, Sharon Tullis, Gail Cohn, and Don Jenkins and wife, Vicky. Neena is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Neena lived a very full life centered around abundant family and friends. Throughout Neena‘s life, she encountered numerous hardships including her recent battle with liver disease. Regardless of her circumstances, Neena maintained her strong faith in God and she always had a bright warm beautiful smile for everyone she met. She was a selfless person and had more concern for the welfare of others than taking adequate time for herself.
Neena was fortunate to have her large family. She was appreciative that she maintained a close relationship with her siblings, children and grandchildren. One of the biggest joys of her life was her yearly “OaSis” Trips with her five sisters. She was like a magnet for small children and elderly people wherever she went. She loved them and they seemed to love her.
Neena had many hobbies and interests. She would relax sitting in the passenger seat of her husband, Mark’s Goldwing while riding through the countryside with the church’s Knights of Light motorcycle group. Just like her son, Darrel she rooted for the Dallas Cowboys and watched the Astros with her husband, Mark. One of her main interests was baking. She especially enjoyed baking desserts. Her Blue Ribbon winning Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies were a huge hit with everyone that was blessed with sinking their teeth into one, or two. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, plastic canvas needlework, woodworking crafts, making beaded jewelry including watch bands, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. She also enjoyed painting ceramics and coloring. She especially enjoyed doing all of these crafts even more when she was able to get together with her sisters.
Throughout her life, Neena had several different jobs including restaurant waitress, Perry’s department store, and CISD cafeteria.
Neena was a member of The Light Church where she lovingly served in the nursery, until she no longer trusted her strength to hold onto those little ones.
Neena was very fun loving, she was kind, considerate, and compassionate. She was an outstanding mother and a very loyal wife, sister and friend. She will be forever missed by all her family and friends.
