Neal Dave “Buck” Phillips went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 20, 2015. He was born on October 23, 1923 in Garland, Arkansas to Neal G. and Ira Phillips. Buck was a self-employed grocery business owner before his second career as property manager at Tallowood Baptist Church for 20 years. He served in WWII in the Army Air Corp as a B17 ball gunner including time served in a German P.O.W. Camp. Buck was known for his quick wit, high integrity and selflessness. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Buck is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Allyson Hendrickson. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Nelva Phillips, daughters, Pat Conner and husband Larry and Jeanne May and husband Joe, son; Andy Phillips and wife Patsy; sister, Joann Clark; grandchildren, Phillip Conner and wife Chelsea, Jenny Rogers and husband Howard, Christina Gibson and husband Brett, Clint May and wife Hilary, Brian Phillips and Emily Phillips; great grandchildren, Cole Hendrickson, Cade Hendrickson, Austin Hendrickson, Reese Rogers, Avery Rogers, Truett Neal Conner, Ellia Gibson, Olive Gibson and Owen Gibson. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation will be held Sunday February 22, 2015 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with burial to follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Phillips, Phillip Conner, Brett Gibson, Joe May, Howard Rogers and Larry Conner.
