Michael Lee Welch

Michael Lee Welch passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2015. He was born on May 24, 1955 in Houston, TX to James Edward and Mary Welch. Michael was a 1973 graduate from Conroe High School. He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Welch, grandparents, W.K. and Ruth B. Murphy. Michael is survived by his wife, Tammy, son, Tim Welch and wife Shelly, daughter, Christy Schmidt and husband Chris; love of his life and special hunting buddies Cole Michael Schmidt and Carter Cash Schmidt, brothers, Gary Welch and wife Debbie, James Bruce Welch and wife Teri, In laws, Nancy and Tom Cregan; David and Jimmie Bird, brother in law, David Bird and wife Cindy, sister in law, Caroline Japic and husband Haris, nephews, Todd Welch and wife Tammy, Tracey Welch and wife Brandy, Alan Welch and wife Cari; Sam and Adam Welch. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive. Special friends Paul Babb, Tommy and Sharon Imhoff, Betty and Dwaine Vick and many others too numerous to list, but nonetheless important to him. Visitation will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 3:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Welch, Tracey Welch, Gary Welch, Alan Welch, David Bird and Ricky Staggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole and Carter Schmidt.
