On Sunday, May 2, 2010, Mary Lou Lopez, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved friend, joined her Heavenly Father. Mary had a long career in the travel industry during which she assisted Los Niño’s in its organizing the adoption of children in China, Russia, and Vietnam. She left the travel industry and pursued her life’s ambition of helping those in need, including serving as a midwife for hundreds of families in Montgomery County and as a Co-Director of Nourishment for the Needy. Mary opened her heart and home to all and will be forever in the hearts of her family and those whose lives she touched. Mary loved dogs, horses, birds, and spending time with her family, especially camping, and with the members of her church.
Mary’s memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010, in the Cashner Colonial Chapel at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas, with visitation at Cashner Funeral Home between 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, May 5. Mary’s services will be conducted by Raymond Turner, Conrad Nolan and Steve Barrett. She was born November 21, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, and is survived by a mother, Lillian Ruth Gile, husband, Sabino Lopez, 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and was preceded in death by her daughter, Alida Marie Teeter.
