Marvin was born in Conroe, Texas and spent the majority of his life here. He was always proud of the fact that he was born at his family home on North Main Street in downtown Conroe. After graduation from Conroe High School, he proudly served in the United States Army and in the Air National Guard. After his military service, he had a long career in the chemical Industry working for Monsanto Chemical and Arco Chemical. A career that took him overseas and afforded him the opportunity to become an instructor and mentor to numerous employees and coworkers.
The first few years of his retirement he and wife Billie enjoyed extensive travel across the United States. Returning home from their travels Marvin found a love for Radio Control Airplanes and even more so rebuilding those planes from his numerous crashes. So much so, that he built a workshop and collected enough tools to rival Home Depot. You could always find Marvin tinkering away in his favorite spot.
But the most important thing to know about Marvin Doyal was the love that he had for his family and friends. He never met a stranger and if you found yourself in conversation with him, you might be there for a while. However, when you walked away, you knew you had a true friend.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Leora Wagers Doyal and his two brothers, James, and Patrick. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Billie J. Doyal; his three children Craig Doyal and spouse Amy, Jana Beth Phillips and spouse David and Kirk Doyal; grandchildren Brian and spouse Ashley, Lindsey and spouse Adam, and Jennifer; great grandchildren Laylee, Asher, Austen, Ruby, and Franklin. Nephews Dean Doyal and spouse Elaine, Paul Doyal, and Niece Shanna Burks and spouse Chris and Kimberly Nolen Briganti.
