Marie Ann Pittman

Marie Ann Pittman was born September 27, 1940 and passed away on December 31, 2016 at the age of 76 after a brief, but difficult battle with cancer. Marie was born in Houston, where she spent nearly all her life. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1959 and married her beloved husband, Gene, on August 6, 1961 at Assumption Catholic Church in Houston. She later obtained her real estate license and loved seeing historic homes revived to their former potential. She found joy in exploring genealogy and Texas history. She will be most remembered as a mother and grandmother who encouraged, guided, and cared for her family with tenderness and a loving heart. She leaves a void in all the lives of those she touched, most especially in the life of Gene, her husband of 55 years. Marie is survived by her husband Carl “Gene” Pittman Sr. She is also survived by her daughter Ann Pittman Menou, her husband Mark, and their children Michelle, Corey, and Ashley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; as well as her son Carl Pittman, Jr., his wife Kara, and their children Taylor and Austin of The Woodlands, Texas. A private family service will be held to honor her.
