Mass of Christian Burial for Louise Marion Snider will be held Monday, the 17th at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Parish in Conroe, TX. Committal services will be held Monday, the 17th of June at 2:00pm in St. Joseph Cemetery, 8004 Airline, and Houston, TX 77037. The rosary will be held at Cashner's at 5:30pm Saturday June 15th. Louis Marion Snider, son of Mike and Veronica Snider, was born in Wooten Wells in Robertson County near Bremond on November 14, 1924. Louis was thirteen when his mother, Veronica, died of pneumonia. In 1939, his dad remarried and Louis had a new step-mother, Martha. Louis attended St. Mary's Catholic school in Bremond and married Natalie Pawlak of Chappel Hill on August 19, 1950. After the wedding, Louis and Natalie moved to Houston where Louis worked in furniture upholstery and later joined the Houston Fire department where he worked until his retirement. Louis has two sons, Mike and Mark, who are also retired Houston Fire Department. Louis is a self-taught fiddle player and has played in a band The Polish Eagles. Louis spent his retirement gardening and fishing while living on Lake Conroe. He enjoyed his faith, family, fishing for crappie and trotlining for catfish and playing dominoes. He is survived by his wife Natalie of 62 years, three children Loritta and her husband Douglas Bender, Louis Michael Snider and his wife Debra, and Mark Snider and his wife Kathy. Grandchildren Katie Bender and her husband Leo Bonser, Kristy Bender, Greg Snider and his wife Natalie, Brian Snider and his wife Amy and their children Sam and Evie, Jessica Snider and her husband Justin Moore, Jennifer Snider, Amy Snider and her children Montgomery and Phoenix Mitchell.
