Leonard Joe Maxedon, age 45, died August 29th in Conroe, Texas as a result of a sudden massive heart attack. Leonard was born in Austin, Texas on March 29th, 1965 to Wendell and Ilene Maxedon. He moved to Conroe with his family in 1973 and has been a resident of Conroe and Willis ever since. Leonard was a graduate of Conroe High School class of 1983. He was a board member and very active in the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo and the Montgomery County Fair Association. He was a business partner in successful business, TJD Financial Services. Leonard had a big heart and he touched many lives. He loved spending time with his friends, roping, hunting, shooting skeet and fishing. He was a long time member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Montgomery.
Leonard was recently preceded in death by his father, Wendell Joe Maxedon. He is survived by his son, Cameron Maxedon of Conroe; mother, Ilene Maxedon of Conroe; sisters, Wendalene Maxedon Whited and her husband Jay of Montgomery and Linda Lorch and her husband Dan of Clearwater, Florida; brother, Rickey Maxedon and his wife Lilly of Conroe. Many nieces and nephews and a long list of wonderful friends also survive him. Leonard was a wonderful loving father, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Lone Star Cowboy Church with Brother Greg Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
