Kim Davis Finnerty, 61, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, September 19th, 2015, at home with family members at her side, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves her memory to be cherished by her loving husband of 33 years, Jerry; her son’s Sean of Houston Texas; Danny and his wife Sarah of Chicago, Illinois; her sister, Lee Ann and husband Bruce Hughes of Kokomo, Indiana; as well as many extended family members.
Kim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 21st, 1954, to the late John and Marian Davis. She attended Pike High School, 1972, and then went on to Purdue University, 1976. She was an avid member of the band in both schools and played the oboe. She married Jerry on October 17th 1981 and they moved to Texas where they raised their two boys. She was a loving wife, mother, and a kind, generous friend. Kim was a dedicated teacher in physical education and English at Sacred Heart and St. Anne’s for over 20 years. She loved reading, animals, the outdoors, and helping others.
Visitation will be at Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, on September 24th from 4:00-7:00pm with a Rosary from 7- 8pm. The funeral service will be at Sacred Heart Church, 109 North Frazier Street, Conroe at 11am on September 25th, with burial to follow at Garden Park Cemetery.
