Judy Rhae House Lumpkin Moran, 67, passed away unexpectedly at St. Lukes Hospital in the Woodlands. She was a longtime resident of Conroe. Judy graduated from Conroe High School in 1964, Southwestern University in 1969, and Sam Houston University in 1981 where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. Judy was a Teacher in the Conroe Independent School District for 36 years before she retired. After retirement, she was employed by Wal-Mart in Conroe. Her life was dedicated to her family and her students. The family wants to thank Dr. Sanjay Patel, the nurses and the aids at St. Luke’s the Woodlands who cared for Judy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Garnet and Johnnie Rhae Simons House; grandson, John Garnet Lumpkin, Jr.; and brothers, James A. House, Garnet Reed House Jr., and Billy John House..
Judy is survived by her husband, Jose Moran; her daughter, Traci Hayes; son, John Lumpkin and his wife Christina; grandchildren, Lane Lumpkin, Cody Lumpkin, Alyssa Lumpkin, Serena Gonzalez, Samantha Gonzalez, Patrick Hayes, and Courtney Hayes; 2 sisters, Mary Jane Mizwa and her husband Tad, and Martha Lehman and her husband Dave; her twin brother, Jerry House and his wife Cynthia; sisters-in-law, Karen House Morrison, Soledad Reyes, Inez Enriquez and her husband Eric, Leticia Garcia and her husband Raul
Funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Metcalf Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 am –12 Pm prior to the service at the funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 3:30 pm in Evan’s Chapel Cemetery in Leona, Texas.
