Judy Evelyn Leach

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Judy Evelyn Leach, 92, of Montgomery will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Judy was born October 7, 1921 in Burleson County, Texas to Gus and Evelyn Bird and entered into rest peacefully on January 24, 2014 in Montgomery, Texas. Judy was a long-time resident of the Conroe area where she and her late husband, Jim Leach, owned a construction company known to local residents as Jim Leach Construction. Judy and her husband were charter members of the Monaco Wannagos, an RV club that traveled throughout the United States. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Evelyn Bird; her husband of almost 45 years, Jim Leach; her sister, Mary Ann Simpson of Caldwell, Texas; brother Joe Bird of Caldwell, Texas; brother, Nathan Bird of Caldwell, Texas; sister Shirley Bird of Caldwell, Texas, sister, Georgie Steakley of Conroe, Texas and brother, Harold Bird of Greenville, Texas. Judy is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Nell and husband Bill Jeffery, Connie and husband Gale Galloway, brother, Sam Bird and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to Domnica Cioban, Judy’s caregiver, for all of the love and care she provided to Judy.
